The University of Lahore is usually referred to by its acronym UOL, is a highly distinguished academic University, established in 1999 as one of the private sector general University in Pakistan.
Founded in 1999, by Mr. M.A Raoof, under the auspices of the Ibadat Education Trust. The University of Lahore was granted degree awarding status in 2002. It has created a name for itself in the field of higher education and is regarded as one of the premier private sector Universities of Pakistan with diverse disciplines ranging from Medicine and Engineering to the Arts and Social Sciences. Our strong emphasis on balanced progress and focus on human capital have allowed us to grow to a student body of about 22000 across seven ‘purpose-built’ campuses in Lahore, Islamabad, Gujrat, Sargodha and Pakpattan with students studying in eleven diverse faculties.
The University has strong linkages with the industry, which are of paramount importance for any Higher education institution. It enjoys excellent linkages with international universities such as Cambridge University, UK, Xian Jiaotong University China and Yeditepe University in Turkey. We also have a range of knowledge sharing and human resource development programs with major multinationals of Pakistan.
All undergraduate and graduate programs run at the UOL, are recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the government regulatory bodies in Pakistan. The University also has accreditations for its Engineering, Pharmacy, Medical & Dental programs from Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Pharmacy Council of Pakistan and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) respectively. Quality of academics and research is key to success at UOL.
